I went to see the movie war room. it is definitely something I would recommend people to go see. It is a powerful and encouraging movie on the power of prayer. This movie really encouraged me to take time and prayer, find a spot with just me and God and pray away. I recently bought one of the books from the movie. the one I got is called The Battle Plan for Prayer. This book is a book on strategies to pray. this book is also something I highly recommend. I honestly don't know how to say how good this movie and book are. I am just speechless they are that good. it may not be for everyone but if you are a Christian wanting to improve your relationship with God and others, and will do anything for God, you will like this movie. Here is two quotes that stuck out to me in the book:
Andrew Murray " Christ's life and work, his suffering and death, were founded on prayer-total dependency upon God the father, trust in God, receiving from God, and surrendering to God. Your redemption is brought into being by prayer and intercession. The life he lived for you and the life he lives in you is a life that delights to wait on God and receive from him. To pray in his name is to pray as he prayed. Christ is our example because he is our head, our saviour and our life. In virtue of his deity and of his spirit. He can live in us. We can pray in his name because we abide in him and he abides in us". (The battle plan for prayer pg. 11-12)
We have been given a rich legacy of the power and importance of prayer. Both in scripture and throughout Christian history. every generation needs chritian believers who will trust God at his word and pick up the baton of intercession, continuing the powerful legacy of faithfully standing in the gap and seeking his heart in prayer.
