Proverbs 22-31

The Lord gives us these teaching not just for us to hear them and move on. He wants us to remember the words he has spoken, live according to them. To live our life through wisdom, understanding, and knowing right from wrong.

When we know what is right and follow that path, he finds joy in that. He delights in knowing his children are living out what he has said. Allowing them to impact the way we live each and every day, the way we see the world and most importantly how we see him.

He says it is more powerful to be wise than to have might. That is a powerful statement. It is better for us to know things and live right than to express our strength. I think there are times for both but only the wise can discern what is more useful, and when it should be used.

It says self control is like a wall around the city. It is used to protect us and keep us safe. It can be very hard to learn and do but it is worth fighting hard for. It is worth the effort because it is very important in our lives. We are human , we are not perfect but just knowing the value in it and trying our best to grow in it is crucial.

When we are real friends to people we don't just let them ruin their life and watch on the sideline. It is important for us to encourage them, uplift them , spur them on. Be there not just during the good moments but walk with them through the bad time too and carry one another when ones faith is weak. Build up the body of christ.

Our heart is a reflection of who we are. If we are kind to others, we become kind. When we bully others we become bullies. You see what I mean, in other words. You reap what you sow. What you do and spend your time on eventually becomes a part of you. Take a look at the way you do things or why you do them. What do the actions of your life reflect? We are all sinners and we fail and mess up. But we mist never give up. In the end we win, why give up when you know the end result is VICTORY because of our saviour.

In the beginning Adam and Eve hid out of shame for what they had done. They didn't go and tell God what happened. The Lord shows mercy on those who confess and turn from their evil ways. He shows mer y to those who are of a repentant heart.

The Lord gives us his words as protection. He uses these pieces of wisdom to protect us from unnecessary pain and heart ache. He knows what we have faced, what we will face and he knew from the beginning of time what we needed in those times.

God gave us a voice to speak for those who cannot. The Lord gave us a hunger and thirst for justice for a reason. We are made to be holy beings, we are made to desire peace, unity and true justice. One day we will get that , but in the mean time we stand up for what is right, no matter what.

"She is clothed in Strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future". Wisdom also knows that God is sovereign and in control over everything. The world can be spinning out of control around us but the Lord is our foundation, he is the rock on which ww stand. No storm can stop us, man made thing, no evil spirit. Nothing will stop him from doing anything. He is fully powerful and fully in control , ALWAYS.

Reading through the book of Proverbs has been so insightful. I have been thinking, where has this book been all my life. It has always been here waiting for the time I was meant to read it and learn from it. The time in my life that would help me understand and receive the mist life, hope and peace through his words. I hope that something I have shared has inspired, encouraged or convicted you in some way. As long as God is ultimately glorified that is what matters most.

Proverbs 15-21 (Rescue)

I have been reading through the book of proverbs recently. This is a summary of Chapters 15-21. I will be posting about the previous chapters yet, as well as the last 10. I just wrote this and couldn't wait to share it!

The Lord loves to hear from us, all our joys, all the hard times and everything in between. He loves the relationship, it isn't a relationship unless you hear him talk too.

He also wants us to be humble, and fear him, not be afraid but respect and honour him. After all what power do we have as humans compared to the Lord. He is so much stronger and greater. He wants us to submit to his leadership.
He is wise and only he can give us wisdom.

We don't always appreciate when we are disciplined but we need a reality check sometimes. We need him and we need to understand that and know that we can't be wise on our own, with our own understanding.

We can make all the plans we want but in the end it is the Lord who determines our steps and leads us. We have choices but he has ultimate authority.

We need to hear his voice, we can't know something without hearing it. We need to be ready and willing to hear his words.

If we want to be real friends, we need to be closer than a brother. We need to be there for them ALWAYS, it doesn't say sometimes. It says when we are truly someones friend we are always loyal. Not ONLY when things are good but especially when things are HARD. That is the true test of friendship.

Be willing to learn always be willing to acquire more knowledge, we can never know everything, but we can learn and grow each and every day until our last.

He gave us our ears to hear and our eyes to see, don't take this gift for granted. He blessed us and we need to honour him by using them wisely.

We may not know everything or every reason behind something. This is what faith is for. For trusting God even when we don't have the answers. Sometimes we (me included) as humans want to all the details and all the reasons, but that won't make us feel complete. Only God can truly satisfy us.

God tells us that the godly find justice a joy. It is normal to want justice and want to protect those who can't defend themselves. It is our natural spiritual desire as Christians to want justice. No, we will not be able to fix everything but it won't be because of a lack of trying, we must never give up our desire for true and righteous justice.

Right now as I write this I am feeling so incredibly down. I feel weak and alone. I know the truth more than I think or feel that I do. I know the Lord hears my cry and I will receive peace and comfort. Sometimes hard things help us understand the truth more clearly. Our emotions are there for a reason but sometimes I can't think of their purpose, when all they seem to do is tear me down. But God will not stop fighting for me and he won't stop fighting for you.

I have played the song Rescue by Lauren Daigle this whole time like 7 or 8 times in a row. It is speaking truth over me from the perspective of Jesus, it makes me sad and comforted all at the same time. I highly recommend the song and hope you have been inspired by something I have just written.
