Dear Heavenly father, I would like to thank you for sending your son down to earth, like it says in the bible "the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us". I am so thankful that he came to be our hope, salvation, saving grace, king over all. It is incredible to know that Christmas is so much more than trees, lights, presents, cookies, and singing carols. Christmas was created as a day to celebrate your birth, Jesus, it is all about you. All the glory, joy, praise, and laughter belongs to you. It is so easy to get caught up in life, even in celebrating Christmas. Our mind is focused on a million things but really it should be set on one thing, Jesus Christ who was born to save the world. Buying gifts and singing carols and trees with lights, there is nothing wrong with enjoying those things at Christmas as long as we keep going back to Him as often as possible. I want to pray for those who don't understand the meaning of Christmas, Help them know who you are. Lord I pray that you would guide their thoughts to you. I thank you for those who know I pray that you would help us focus on you and never forget this day that is entirely yours. Something about this year has me crazy excited for Christmas. I am so joyful, so thrilled, I am so pleased to be giving gifts to those I love. I thank you Lord for everything.
