Where do I even begin...
I struggle with my emotions/feelings, I don’t know how to control them, more often then not I feel like they control me, again thats another feeling. They are constant and ever changing. Just like happiness, our feelings are circumstantial. How do we control something that changes so quickly? How do we control something so powerful?
I honestly still don’t have an answer, and that is hard because I want to know all the answers and how to do certain things, but only God can help us and I think turning to him first is a great place to start. I had a small victory the other day in an overwhelming situation, I left the scene (went outside) and the first thing I did was pray. It didn't work right away but after a while I ended up actually enjoying myself.
Another thing is that growing takes times and learning to be patient with ourselves is something that can help us on this journey as well. The truth is we all are imperfect and are growing in different things at different places and times in our lives. We need to understand that we are all in this, life is no walk in the park and we all know that. So grace doesn't just need to be shown to yourself but also those around you. We all have struggles of our own, not one person is free from struggles, despite how it may look at times, especially on social media.
Choices in life are hard to make at times, same goes for your feelings, you can change your attitude and your actions, but that doesn't mean the feeling will always go away, time after time, the more you try the better you will get at it. But like anything in life we won’ be perfect, but as long as we try to do our best, we will have small victories more and more.
