Getting closer to God

One thing that has been on my mind lately, is getting to know God more and getting closer to him. I find this challenging sometimes, but I know it is worth it. I find that the best way to feel close to God is reading a good Christian book or listening to some Christian worship music. Reading the bible can also be a way to get closer to God, but reading certain sections can be boring. All you have to do is pull through, and look forward to reading your favorite parts. You still need to keep the uninteresting parts in mind.

Baptism

Baptism has always been an unsure decision. I worry a lot, which doesnt help. I have a legitamite reason,I worry that I wont be able to get out of the tank and if I could be baptized with sin in my life. As I got older I realized, I didnt need to be perfect. I just needed to be ready. all of this has lead up to Sunday. On Sunday I am getting baptized. I figured it was time to take my relationship with God deeper. It is a scary, yet exciting thought. It means that I am taking the next step in my walk with God. It is scary because my church is pretty big, just standing up there is scary enough. I know it will be worth it in the end if I know that God is proud of me.
