Sometimes I want to know more about God’s plans for me. I
know he has a plan for me, I know that his plans involve giving me a hope and a
future.Yet I get caught up in wanting
to know each and every step, I forget that this life is a journey, it is not about
knowing the whole picture. One day I will know the whole picture. Until that
day I just need to trust. It is a word we hear so often as Christians. It
sounds simple, but we all know it is not as easy as it may seem.
In life I like to know what is going to happen, I don’t like
surprises, and I like knowing the plan. Which makes the word trust almost seem
like Greek to me. I so desperately desire to trust him, I try and surrender,
but still feel overwhelmed when plans change last minute, or something just
pops up in my life.
I am taking steps out
of my comfort zone, and I am doing things that scare me on purpose. I have
realized that I actually enjoy doing things that scare me, sure in the moment I
am nervous and a bit anxious but I still do it. Almost always it is never as
bad as I think it will be. Our perspective is distorted, sometimes it takes
someone else to speak a new perspective into that situation, or just a word
from God. I still get overwhelmed with unexpected changes and that is okay. We may want to grow overnight but it takes longer than that. We need to
be patient…also not one of my strong suits, but one thing at a time. Eventually
I will get there, after all ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD.
