We landed in Mexico and the plane stopped in the middle of the airport lot. As We looked out the window we saw a plane beside us with people walking down a set of stairs placed by the airplane door. With sheer panic and confusion me and parents and family began to wonder how on earth I was to get off the plane. I walked down the rows and sat on the first row and sat down. I had a major anxiety attack i seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack. The airplane people said they have a seat I would sit on and they would get 2 guys to carry me down. As they carried me down my panic and anxiety turned to immense anger. I was mad at God for making me go through with that and at the airline for not telling me ahead of time. Before all this panic and anger. I was confident about having an awesome trip a good time nothing would go wrong and I would have a great attitude about everything. Boy did this destroy and crush me. The ironic thing is on the plane I had good devotions spent time reading the Celebration of Discipline and i even wrote a song about not backing down against the devil the flight was so good, but I still got destroyed.
Now I am feeling much better but man I will never forget that.
I went swimming there and that was good, really enjoyed the sunshine, getting a tan, and cooling off in the water. We rented a power chair out here and its ok but doesnt last long. I continued to have to trust people pushing me around, and trust that God wiuld provide.God knows what i need before I do especially with the song I wrote and I haven't written a song in over a year and it is a helpful song that I need to meditate on now.
I shared my testimony at a small church youth group in Boucesious. Itwas great. It was at an outside church with some drug dealers down the street. Boy was that so different. The youth responded well to what I said and were very encouraged and they love to chat!! Such nice and beautiful people I met! I can't wait to stay in touch with them. Communicating through a translator was different but it worked so well. They were really open and willing to talk and actually were interested in what I said. They are the most wonderful and loving people i have met!! They will forever be on my heart!!
The rest of the time I wrote a prayer list prayed theough it. I also read my book from SOM (school of ministers) which is called Celebration of Discipline. I also started snd finished a whole book called "it's not what you think" by Jefferson Bethke, it was such a good book. It even related back to sone stuff I learned in SOM about the Old Testament. Also about understanding the bible as a story and how it should be told as one. I read a few chapters in the book of Isaiah and got lots out of it. I listened to a lot of worship music on the plane which was really good and uplifting.
A few of the other things I did was, I had one to two margaritas without alcohol a day. Got lots of sunshine. Had some pretty awesome meals out there and just had such a amazing time looking at palm trees, i could stare at them all day!!
Leaving Mexico I had to be carried up the plane. Before they came and strapped me into the chair, I calmed my thoughts and prayed and a song lyric came to mind. As they carried me up I repeated that one line that said "Christ Is Enough For Me". No metter what happened God was all I needed!
